Urban Residential School (URS)

Priyadarshini proudly operates the Urban Residential School (URS), an inclusive education initiative supported by the Rajiv Vidya Mission – Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. This program is designed to bring education, stability, and care to underprivileged and marginalized children living in urban areas.

The school serves:

• Out-of-school and dropout children
• Ragpickers and street children
• Orphans and semi-orphans
• Children from highly deprived or unstable family environments

The URS provides free residential school education in a safe, child-friendly environment. Along with quality academic instruction, children receive:

• Nutritious meals
• Clean and secure accommodation
• Health care and hygiene support
• Life skills training and counseling

Our mission is to mainstream these children into formal education, helping them break the cycle of poverty and neglect. The program also aims to restore dignity, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging in every child we support.
